The Lakes Rookley, Rookley

Our stay at the resort had its ups and downs. While we appreciated the clean accommodations and enjoyed the evening entertainment, there were several issues with maintenance and service that left us feeling less than satisfied. The dining options were inconsistent, and our experience was unfortunately marred by some cleanliness issues that need addressing. Overall, it was a mixed experience with potential, but certainly not without its flaws.

I had a mixed experience at the resort. The accommodations were well-maintained and I enjoyed the private hot tub, which was a highlight. However, the service was lacking, especially in responding to housekeeping issues. The dining options were a letdown, as the meals didn’t meet the expectations set by the price. Despite the scenic surroundings, I was quite disappointed with the cleanliness and attention to detail in some areas.

Our stay at this resort was a mix of highlights and letdowns. While the location was fantastic for exploring the island, we encountered several cleanliness issues that were disappointing. The resort has some redeeming qualities, particularly in terms of the accommodations' modern renovations and the engaging atmosphere for families. However, the cleanliness was a significant issue, especially with the state of the pools and the cottages. While staff showed friendliness and there were plenty of activities for children, the overall experience left much to be desired, especially given the prices.

My stay was far from ideal. The accommodation was not properly cleaned, with a dead mouse and dirty surfaces, which was really disappointing. The dining options were limited and the wait for food was exceedingly long. However, the location was quiet and allowed easy access to explore the Isle of Wight, and the hot tub was somewhat enjoyable despite the lack of privacy.
